When I was initially editing this image, awhile back, my computer froze, and I had to capture a screenshot to save the work I had done. I lost the full size version, but at least I was able to figure that loophole to save this. I love the colors. And I'm really pleased with the lighting in her face and eyes. I realize I am a sucker for potent, deep, and vibrant colors in probably over produced, overly dramatic and stylized settings/presentation. I'll frequently get comments criticizing things in my work that I personally love the most. A friend told me some good advice that I've taken in, 'just do what you enjoy and what you think is good and as you practice and develop that, the mutually interested parties will discover and appreciate what you're producing'
The red in the shot is very vibrant and draws the eye. The model is very attractive and her pose seems to add to the mood of almost anxious expectation. And with the inspiration being drawn form Little Red Riding Hood it only makes perfect sense.
Again the red contrasting with the colors in the shot really makes this piece stand out. It dramatic but it doesn't seem to work against it in this case. Although the product is a little pixelated due to the computer freezing the shot still maintains its impact. It happens, *shrugs* so it shouldn't count against the concept here.
I really like the colours here! I'm propably also a sucker for virbrant colours then... I think it's kind of sad that you didn't get to save the full version, I would have liked to see it a bit bigger and not pixelated.
Yah, it does suck. Although, I do have the full size of the original photo before any of the editing. I've often thought about re-visiting it and seeing what comes out. But I don't to just try and recreate the exact image. I think it could feel tedious and probably pretty frustrating if I was trying to get it exactly the same.
Beautiful shot. Lovely girl, vivid coloration. The red over her black hair works very well... and the blurred green foliage in the background really pulls it together and completes a very pleasant color spectrum. Great shot.
really epitomises red riding hood, the colours are vibrant and it has just the right combination of emotion and subtle sexiness that puts an interesting spin on the story. great work!
I'm really glad you like it. Plus, you mention liking a lot of the specific elements I'd hoped to convey with it, so its nice to know those things come across.
